Their adventure began in 2025 when Mike, Sue, and black Lab Norman, moved to Port Stanley. They instantly fell in love with the lakeside charm and the warmth of the community—and knew they were home.
The transition to pub managers happened faster than they could have imagined. Responding to a post they saw on Facebook they were running a pub three hours later!
Setting up shop inside the historic Fire Hall Market was the perfect way to create the cozy, welcoming hub they always dreamed of. At The Hydrant, they serve more than just cold drinks; they serve up the true spirit of Port Stanley.
